Tarlac Campus Ministry - Evangelistic Gathering
God Really works in Wonders!!!
Last November 27, Tuesday, local holiday for the Philippines, with 3 storms present, was the scheduled date for the evangelistic gathering of Presbeuo Campus Ministry. And a few hours before the call time, an intensity-3 earthquake hit the country and Tarlac as well. Electricity was cut and some of the team got discouraged.
Who says prayer cannot move mountains?
God can show us even in impossible means just how great and mighty He is. After the team did some troubleshooting using whatever there is at hand… together with much much prayer, just as they were to start, electricity came back! All the videos they prepared for that day were used and everything went on smoothly as planned…
Sometimes, things happen to teach us of certain things… and that day, the team learned to trust more in God instead of accusing or getting mad or quitting. They had their own share of funny stories after the event including how each one was calling the electricity provider asking what time it will be back. The team, and their church was so much in awe of God’s power that day.
That very special day, 13 Christians in the campus, including core group leaders, with 10 Student contacts, plus other young people from San Rafael Gospel Church sat comfortably under a beautiful weather (with no signs of 3 alarming storms that time) and a sumptuous snack served by the partnering church. They saw the great support of their local church and are very thankful for that.
Now the team is busy preparing for their well-reserved retreat… and still meeting each other, preparing for their small groups.
But after all the events have quieted… the team sits and ponder more on the greatness of God and the great presence they felt from Him. These are all activities, but through the process, they learned a lot, they felt like they grew up in a way. They still don’t feel worthy, but they feel privileged to do this for the Lord. Aiming more and striving to work for His glory.
Very clearly, with this event, with how natural disasters almost hindered their faith, and with how the Lord turned the events in their favor… GOD IS THE ONLY ONE THAT COULD MOVE MOUNTAINS…
God is bigger than all those… God is greater than all these things… activities come, people move but the greatest effect is the impact in the hearts and minds, towards renewal and transformation of the students of Tarlac University and the YMC Youth Campus Leaders with their Core group Leaders.
All praises to God alone!
